Dental Retainers

Nov 8 • 1 minute read

Dental retainers play an important role in maintaining the results of orthodontic treatment. After braces or clear aligners have moved teeth, dental retainers help keep the teeth in their new position. Some retainers are fixed and cemented on the teeth. Other retainers are removable. If retainers are not worn teeth may shift.  It is also important to clean both types of retainers daily.
