Dr. Melinda Fried

Dr. Fried is originally from Flossmoor and attended Marian Catholic High School. She subsequently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a B.S. in Biology and loves anything Badger related.  Following both her father and brother into dentistry, Dr. Fried graduated from Marquette University’s School of Dentistry in 2016.  Beyond formal education, she has continued to hone her skills by regularly attending dental seminars as an active member of the Apollonia Women’s Dental Study Club of Indiana and the Mastermind Study Club of Illinois.  Additionally, Dr. Fried is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association, and Chicago Dental Association.  Locally, she is a proud member of the Homewood Business Association. With her free time, Dr. Fried loves watching Chicago sports, traveling, spending time with her pug, and volunteering with the Lions Club.

Dr. Nicholas Videka

Dr. Nick, is a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School in 1975. After receiving his Bachelors of Arts from DePauw University in 1979 he enrolled in dental school. In 1983 Dr. Nick received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Illinois, School of Dentistry. Since graduation, Dr. Nick has become a perpetual student learning the new advances in dentistry. Dr. Nick is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, and the South Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, golfing and spending time with his family.

Dr. Shawn Thomas

Specialist in Periodontics

As a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2012, Dr. Thomas has returned to the area to serve the periodontal needs of the Chicagoland area. In 2016, Dr. Thomas graduated with Honors from Marquette University School of Dentistry with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon completion of his dental degree, Dr. Thomas continued his education and received his specialty certificate in Periodontics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. Dr. Thomas is highly trained in both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, as well as implant therapy. Such procedures include gingival grafting, crown elongation, osseous surgery, bone grafting, ridge augmentation, sinus augmentation, All-On-Four dental implants, and more. Patient satisfaction is of highest importance to Dr. Thomas and he strives to make sure all of his patients are comfortable during all procedures. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Illinois Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois Society of Periodontists, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. To keep up to date on all the advancements in his field, Dr. Thomas attends many continuing education seminars and is a certified surgeon in Wilckodontics as well as Botox and dermal fillers.  In his free time Dr. Thomas enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and trying new cooking recipes!

Nancy

Dental Assistant

Nancy’s career as a dental assistant began in 1992.  She has become certified in sterile processing & distribution as well as coronal polishing. Nancy prides herself on her ability to make sure all our patients are comfortable and that all their needs are fulfilled.

Vanessa

Dental Hygienist

Our hygienist Vanessa has been practicing dental hygiene the past 5 years.  She graduated from Indiana University in 2014 with a degree in Dental Hygiene and currently holds her local anesthesia permit as well.  She enjoys educating her patients about the connection between oral health and overall health.  She also prides herself in building long term trusting relationships with patients.

Cheryl

Office Manager

Cheryl started working in the dental field as an assistant. Today she runs the business center of the office. Cheryl is in charge of coordinating appointments, financial arrangements and billing.
